From helping to build MetLife Stadium in 2010 to readying it for the world’s biggest sporting stage in 2026, Tilcon NY played a key role in ensuring the stadium and surrounding transportation infrastructure were primed to welcome fans from around the world.
Known as the ‘New York New Jersey Stadium’ during the tournament, MetLife Stadium hosted eight matches including the final. Moving over 78,000 fans to and from the Meadowlands, eight times for eight matches, meant upgrading and enhancing major transportation systems and local roadways. Tilcon NY supplied asphalt and paving for dedicated bus lanes, new bus terminals, and a new pedestrian walkway that provides direct access to the stadium from New Jersey transit facilities.
Beyond the venue, the team supported fast-tracked projects by providing asphalt and paving for essential transportation infrastructure, including the New Jersey Turnpike and Teterboro Airport.
CRH companies across North America were integral to building and readying 10 stadiums that hosted 69 matches throughout the tournament, providing building materials from aggregates, asphalt, cement, masonry and permeable pavers.
