A look at our operational excellence and progress

Every day across CRH, we solve real‑world customer challenges – building stronger, more durable roads and resilient infrastructure that future-proofs our communities against the effects of growing populations, aging infrastructure and severe weather events.

Our newly released 2025 Sustainability Performance Report, Shaping Communities for a Better Tomorrow, captures examples of innovation, expertise and collaboration across our local companies that helped us support our customers, employees and communities on their growth journey.

Our leading performance model is a major driver behind our progress toward a more resilient and sustainable built environment, empowering our teams to innovate locally and scale breakthroughs globally. It ensures that insights developed in one market – whether in materials science, resource efficiency or low‑carbon production – become shared strengths across our organization.

The report also highlights how we are advancing next‑generation cement and concrete technologies and significantly expanding our investment in supplementary cementitious materials.

We’re improving performance in our own operations – reducing emissions, reducing waste, using water responsibly and improving operational efficiency. We’re addressing the real‑world challenges our customers face today and helping to prepare them and our industry for the future of construction.

2025 targets achieved:

On the journey toward our 2030 decarbonization target, we met a significant milestone by delivering on our 2025 cement-specific carbon intensity target. We also achieved our 2025 target of 50% of product revenues coming from products with enhanced sustainability attributes.

2025 performance highlights:

15.7

$ billion revenues generated from products with enhanced sustainability attributes

153.6

million cubic meters of water recycled at our operations

51.2

million tonnes of wastes and by-products recycled

0.8

kg/$ CO2 emissions per dollar of revenues

“Our 2025 Sustainability Performance Report shows not only what we’re doing across our operations and for our customers, but who we are and how we’re growing, I’m grateful to the teams who make our progress possible,” said CRH Chief Sustainability Officer Eunice Heath.
