Innovation in action
Enhancing the Safety of our Work Zones
We continue to enhance our AWARE system, a sentry unit that provides advanced warning to motorists as they approach the work-zone and alerts our workers to traffic encroaching on the work zone and potentially threatening workers’ safety. Currently there are 162 AWARE systems deployed across North America.
Engaging Early-Career Talent
CRH hosts two annual forums for early-career talent across the business that help communicate CRH’s vision and offer development. Participants leave the forums with a deeper understanding of the breadth of our business, our customer reach and the skills and capabilities that will help them plan their careers.
Championing Mental Well-Being
CRH Company RiverBend Materials created a Mental Health Task Force to build awareness among frontline workers of mental health resources available. The group distributed and displayed mental health resource fliers to every worksite and created and distributed magnets with internal and external resources available.
