Our targets and progress
Ongoing Target: 100% of suppliers agree to abide by the tenets in CRH’s Supplier Code of Conduct.
Our operating companies purchase more than $20 billion worth of goods and services each year from more than 100,000 suppliers across the world. Responsible sourcing across our supply chain has a critical role in ensuring business continuity, that human rights are upheld, and downstream environmental impacts are managed.
Our supply chain reach, influence, and strong supplier relationships provide an important opportunity to be a driver of change. By working and collaborating with our suppliers, governments, industry bodies, businesses, and other partners we can leverage supplier innovation and work towards best practice.
Our SCoC sets out the supplier requirements to meet our standards in respect of health and safety, human rights and environmental stewardship. It is based on our Framework for a Sustainable Future and is reviewed on an ongoing basis. Supplier acknowledgment of commitment to the SCoC is a requirement in our general purchase conditions to ensure that our suppliers are aligned with our values and acknowledgement of the CRH SCoC is a precondition to submit responses to all in e-tenders.
