The IR Magazine Europe Awards
The IR Magazine Europe Awards recognise the top investor relations practitioners at companies in the UK, Ireland, the Nordic region and continental Europe. The awards are based on an extensive independent research survey of analysts and portfolio managers who are each interviewed for 10 to 20 minutes on the qualities of corporate IR teams as well as the contribution made to them by senior management.
Over the past decade CRH has been extremely successful at these awards, winning awards across a range of categories including:

The Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland Awards
CRH has won the overall “Published Accounts Award” from the Leinster Branch of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland a total of ten times, most recently in 2009. In 2011, CRH won both the “Large Quoted Companies” and “Social Responsibility Reporting” awards.
External SRI Endorsements
CRH actively engages in a transparent manner on an ongoing basis with the major Socially Responsible Investment (SRI) Agencies on its CSR performance. This engagement takes the form of completing formal questionnaires issued by many of the Agencies as well as interviews, meetings and other contacts as relevant. CRH continues to be ranked among sector leaders by a number of leading SRI rating agencies. Recent examples include:
Dow Jones Sustainability Indexes (Zürich)
In its September 2012 review, CRH was again included in the Dow Jones World and STOXX indexes. The rating was carried out on behalf of DJSI by RobecoSAM, based on completion of a detailed questionnaire by CRH on governance, environmental and social performance.
FTSE4Good (London)
CRH was included in the FTSE4Good Index in its September 2012 Review.
Ethibel:
In 2012, CRH continued as a constituent of the Ethibel Sustainability Excellence Europe and of the Ethibel Sustainability Index Excellence Global, based on a detailed assessment by Vigeo.
GovernanceMetrics International (GMI) (New York)
GMI, which focuses on corporate governance, continues to highly rank CRH.
ECPI (Italy):
In its December 2012 review, ECPI included CRH as a constituent of its ECPI® Indices, which are based on environmental, social and governance indicators.
Ethisphere (USA)
In February 2012, CRH was again recognised by the Ethisphere Institute as one of the World’s Most Ethical Companies.
